There's been something of a glut of 60s themed editorials recently, but most of them seem to fall a bit flat, looking a bit too stylised and glossy, and thoroughly modern. This one somehow feels just right. From UK Vogue, October 2014.

Epitaph For A Darling Lady

I'm loving this editorial from the debut issue of Leith Clark's new venture, Violet. Moody winter lighting, lots of black, my favourite model of the moment (Marine Deleeuw) and the Miu Miu boots I've been obsessing over- what more could I ask for? I have high hopes for this, as it seems to be aimed at the Lula girl who's grown up a bit and is less saccharine, girly cute-ness, more introspective, romantic eccentric. Fingers crossed I can find a copy locally, otherwise will definitely be ordering online...

Spring Uncovered
Whilst not enough to tempt me to actually buy an issue, I really loved these two quite disparate sportswear-inspired images from February Vogue. The Christopher Kane Swarovski-encrusted sweatshirt in particular would be welcomed with open arms if it magically appeared in my wardrobe, and somehow even the idea of a tracksuit and trainers seems fresh and the perfect change from my usual style.
First I keep obsessing over trainers, and now I'm lusting after (admittedly designer) tracksuit bottoms- I'm starting to sense a theme...

Playtime
Yep, it's definitely that time of year again. I'm ready for spring, and spring colours. And a cat sleep mask, of course, to aid in hibernating.

P.S. I love that Elle France both approves of my recent obsession with trainers worn with everything, and also manages to make skate shoes sexy.

Nadja on a Bender
This editorial from the Spring/Summer issue of Scandinavia S/S/A/W is making me very impatient for spring. I will definitely be buying a pair of pool slides. Whether I'll be brave enough to actually wear them remains to be seen...

Pink Wonderland
This photo from Pink Sweater shoot which I stumbled upon on the Wonderland site made me realise that my wardrobe is still entirely lacking in pink and that I clearly need to do something to rectify this. I'm thinking the perfectly fluffy mohair jumper I've been lusting after from Cos might just do the trick...

My state of denial about the weather is clearly ongoing, as this photo from the August 2013 issue of Danish Elle is the most inspirational image I've seen in a while. Of course, come winter, I'll be whingeing about the cold and the fact that it's dark by late afternoon. But for now, I'm dreaming of wrapping up in oversized coats and pairing everything with ankle boots...

Man Up
I think I'm officially bored of summer, sartorially at least. I realised this earlier today when, upon going to put a dress away in the cupboard, I found myself staring wistfully at all my winter clothes and wishing I could wrap myself up in them again, rather than the same vest tops/tshirts/denim shorts I've been relying on lately (and every bloody summer since I moved to Greece, where it's officially too hot for fashion for about a quarter of the year). Then I saw this editorial, from the August issue of Marie Claire UK and now all I want is knitwear, blazers and brogues...

Like a Virgin
This editorial from Elle France makes me wish my wardrobe consisted of about 300% more floaty white-ness. And the perfect pair of trainers to wear with it all. Why does summer in magazine-land always look so dreamy and cool, rather than hot, sweaty and rendering anything but the flimsiest of fabrics un-wearable?
