Moderne no. 4

I thought I was obsessed with colour at the moment, but then I saw the latest La Garconne Moderne lookbook, and now I just want simple, easy clothes in which to wait out the rest of winter. Because the cold, dark, grey first months of the year are best spent draped in glorified loungewear which will make things like horizontal rain, and long, cold waits at bus stops slightly more bearable...

See by Chloe Pre-Fall 2014

I didn't even realise See by Chloe did resort collections, but I'm really glad they do- it sums up just what I want to be wearing now (and not in 6 months' time)- tomboy-ish cuts in girly colours, with the perfect amount of slouch, and lots and lots of trousers, with no black tights in sight.  Can I have the lot please?

Spring Uncovered

Whilst not enough to tempt me to actually buy an issue, I really loved these two quite disparate sportswear-inspired images from February Vogue.  The Christopher Kane Swarovski-encrusted sweatshirt in particular would be welcomed with open arms if it magically appeared in my wardrobe, and somehow even the idea of a tracksuit and trainers seems fresh and the perfect change from my usual style.

First I keep obsessing over trainers, and now I'm lusting after (admittedly designer) tracksuit bottoms- I'm starting to sense a theme...

Chloe S/S '14

Flipping through the new Elle on my lunch break today, the S/S Chloe campaign literally stopped me in my tracks, and I just stared at it for about a minute, coveting Lou Doillon's hair, the amazing blue cut-out dress, and even the rope-soled platforms, something I had up 'til  now associated only with perma-tanned Eurotrash teetering along in caftans and super-high wedges.  I know it's nothing earth-shattering, but it's wearable, and just perfectly evokes endless summer evenings. I am so incredibly ready for bare leg weather and lolling about in fields whilst wearing perfect little dresses and a single gold bangle...
